Garden City, Kansas. &#8212; Mrs. Eva Friesen, 57, of Inman, was almost instantly killed and other members of the family critically injured in an automobile accident near Pierceville, about 15 miles east of here, Thursday night, July 3.

The injured persons were brought to a hospital here for emergency treatment.

The accident happened when the family car driven by a son, Roland, crashed into a truck. An abandoned fireworks stand, which had blown onto ahe [''sic''] highway, was said to have been the cause of the tragedy.

MOTHER KILLED, OTHERS CRITICALLY INJURED IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT

Garden City, Kansas. — Mrs. Eva Friesen, 57, of Inman, was almost instantly killed and other members of the family critically injured in an automobile accident near Pierceville, about 15 miles east of here, Thursday night, July 3.

The injured persons were brought to a hospital here for emergency treatment.

The accident happened when the family car driven by a son, Roland, crashed into a truck. An abandoned fireworks stand, which had blown onto ahe [sic] highway, was said to have been the cause of the tragedy.
