SLIFER. — On May 26th, 1892, in Philadelphia, Nathan Slifer, aged 75 years, less one month. Father Slifer was a faithful devoted Christian, and for ten years past a deacon of the First Mennonite Church. On the 23rd ult. the funeral services were held, conducted by the pastor, N. B. Grubb. The remains were laid to rest in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, carried there by the officers of the church, which the deceased helped to organize twenty-seven years ago.
