WELL KNOWN INDIANA FARMER DIED

New Haven, Ind. — Christian Lengacher, widely known and respected Amish farmer of this community, passed away at the Methodist hospital, Ft. Wayne, on Nov. 1 at the age of 78.

Death came one week after the amputation of his right leg at the hospital. The left leg had been amputated four years ago.

He was a life-long resident of Allen county and had lived in the same house since 1897.
