— A well-known resident of the Oakland, Maryland community, Joel Slabach, passed away April 20 at the home of his foster daughter, Mrs. Noah Schrock. The funeral services held at the Conservative Amish church there, with Bishops L. M. Beachy and Joseph Yoder officiating, were widely attended. He was 82 years of age.
