— Rev. Gustav Frey, for many years a teacher and minister in this area, died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday morning at his farm home in the Canton community. Although in poor health for some time, he had continued to be active until his death. He was 65 years of age. Surviving him are his wife, Linda, and six children at home; a daughter, Mrs. Monroe Hiebert, and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob J. Franz and Mrs. G. G. Pankratz, all of the Newton vicinity. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p. m. at the Bergan [''sic'' Bergen] Funeral Home, Goessel, and at 2:00 o'çlock at the Tabor Mennonite church.
