CAR ACCIDENT PROVES FATAL TO HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH
Hillsboro, Kansas. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 26, for Donald Penner, 15, who suffered fatal injuries in an auto accident on Tuesday forenoon, Dec. 21. He passed away at the Hillsboro hospital shortly afterward.
The young man was driving the car, returning from Peabody with his mother, Mrs. D. J. Penner, and sister Malinda, when the machine skidded and struck a bridge abutment. Mrs. Penner was seriously injured, but her daughter suffered only minor injuries.
