Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Fleming, 72, longtime Hitchcock, Okla. resident, were held in the Hitchcock Methodist church Saturday, Nov. 5, with Rev. Erwin R. Simmons officiating.

Mrs. Fleming died Tuesday, Nov. 2, after a period of poor health. She was one of the community's pioneers, having moved to Hitchcock 55 years ago.

She was born at Hillsboro, Kansas, January 5, 1876, and moved to Oklahoma with her parents in 1893. She was married to Henry J. Fleming on June 5, 1898, and to them were born two sons and one daughter. Her husband and daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Sheffler, preceded her in death in 1947 and 1931 respectively.

Survivors include the sons, Victor of Hitchcock and Leo of Lynwood, Calif.; six grandchildren, Leslie Fleming and Robert Sheffler of Hitchcock, James Sheffler of Watonga, Paula and Roger Fleming and Mary Ann Lamar of California; and two great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister, Peter Heibert [''sic'' Hiebert] of Fredericksburg, Md., Henry Heibert [''sic'' Hiebert] of Sheldon, Mo., and Mary Mays of Perryton, Texas, also survive.

MRS. ANNA FLEMING

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Fleming, 72, longtime Hitchcock, Okla. resident, were held in the Hitchcock Methodist church Saturday, Nov. 5, with Rev. Erwin R. Simmons officiating.

Mrs. Fleming died Tuesday, Nov. 2, after a period of poor health. She was one of the community's pioneers, having moved to Hitchcock 55 years ago.
