AUSPICIOUS FUNERAL FOR LATE MRS. McPHERSON
Surrounded by a great display of pageantry and pomp the late Mrs. Amiee [sic Aimee] Semple McPherson was buried as she lived. Following funeral services in her million dollar Los Angeles temple, her body was laid to res tina 1,200-lb. solid bronze casket in the mausoleum of Forest Lawn Memorial park. Over a thousand Four Square Gospel ministers attended the services.
Mrs. McPherson, who died Sept. 27, was nationally known for her sensational type of preaching. Cause of her death, according to a coroner's jury verdict, was an "accidental overdose" of sleeping tablets. In the jury were nine men and four women.
