— A large funeral was held recently at Meade, Kansas, namely that of John Deurksen [sic Duerksen], who lost his life as the result of a night-time highway accident. Mr. Duerkesen was fixing the lights on his truck when he was struck by another truck coming along the highway. He received severe injuries, but lived on into the following day, when death finally ended his suffering.
