Belleville, Pa. &#8212; On Tuesday, September 9, Simon m. Kanagy died at the Gault Hospital, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Kanagy was a native son of the Kishacoquillas Valley where the early years of his life were spent. He was aged 73 years.

He taught public school for a number of years and was a teacher at Hesston College, Kansas, for a time. He became a preacher and missionary in the Mennonite church and this work took him to Canada where he has resided for a number of years. His home was at Blair, Canada, where the funeral service was held and interment made on Friday, Sept. 12.

FORMER PROFESSOR IN KANSAS COLLEGE DIED RECENTLY IN ONTARIO, CANADA

Belleville, Pa. — On Tuesday, September 9, Simon M. Kanagy died at the Gault Hospital, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Kanagy was a native son of the Kishacoquillas Valley where the early years of his life were spent. He was aged 73 years.

He taught public school for a number of years and was a teacher at Hesston College, Kansas, for a time. He became a preacher and missionary in the Mennonite church and this work took him to Canada where he has resided for a number of years. His home was at Blair, Canada, where the funeral service was held and interment made on Friday, Sept. 12.

A young man in this community, Simon was a noted tenor singer and used his voice for the help and enjoyment of many. — Belleville Times.
