FAMOUS NEWSWRITER IS CALLED BY DEATH

Arthur Brisbane, America's highest paid newspaper writer died of a heart attack in his New York apartment at 5:30 a. m., Dec. 25, 12 hours after he had written his last column for metropolitan newspaper editions.

Shortly after "reading proof," the famous editor drifted off to sleep under an oxygen tent.

Among honorary pall-bearers at his funeral held Monday were some of the wealthiest men of the country, including Vice-President John Garner and other high government officials.
