For many years Mr. Schlichting had been prominent in community affairs in Halbstadt, South Russia. He emigrated to Canada soon after the Bolshevick revolution and took part in church work here as long as his health permitted. Funeral services were held at Swift Current. |

— Jacob Schlichting, 83 year old resident of Swift Current, Sask., Canada, died there a few weeks ago. For many years Mr. Schlichting had been prominent in community affairs in Halbstadt, South Russia. He emigrated to Canada soon after the Bolshevick revolution and took part in church work here as long as his health permitted. Funeral services were held at Swift Current.
