— From Wichita comes the report that D. C. Schmitt of Upland, Calif., died there suddenly last Friday while driving in an automobile with his niece. He had been in Wichita to visit his brother-in-law, Adolf Beutler. Meeting Mr. Beutler on the street, Mr. Schmidt and his niece stopped at the curb, and it was there that the deceased's head suddenly fell backwards and death came almost immedately. The body was sent to upland for burial.
