— A tragedy which shocked the entire community occurred last Saturday when Mrs. J. W. Hornbaker living on [sic] mile north of Bethel College committed suicide by a leap down the chute of a silo. It appears that a rope which she tied around her neck had broken. Funeral services were held here early this week.
