Peter B. Schmidt, 74, of rural Walton, Kan., passed away at his home Thursday, Jan. 8, following a heart attack.

He was born march 16, 1884, near Hillsboro, Kan., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Schmidt. In 1893 he homesteaded near Cordell, Okla. In 1911 he married Maria Voth and then moved to Kansas in 1913. Since that time they have lived on the farm where he passed away.

Besides his wife, maria, there survive two daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Meletta) Epp of Haysvlle and Mrs. Andrew (Luella) Sheffler of Wichita. One daughter, Mrs. Clifford Cornelson of Newton, passed away in 1954. Also surviving are one brother, Henry Schmidt of Cordell, Okla., one sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Schmierer, of Bessie Okla. and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 11 at 2:30 p. m. in the Tabor Mennonite Church with Rev. James Waltner officiating.

PETER B. SCHMIDT

Peter B. Schmidt, 74, of rural Walton, Kan., passed away at his home Thursday, Jan. 8, following a heart attack.

He was born march 16, 1884, near Hillsboro, Kan., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Schmidt. In 1893 he homesteaded near Cordell, Okla. In 1911 he married Maria Voth and then moved to Kansas in 1913. Since that time they have lived on the farm where he passed away.

Besides his wife, maria, there survive two daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Meletta) Epp of Haysvlle and Mrs. Andrew (Luella) Sheffler of Wichita.
