Caroline Hauenstein, youngest daughter of John and Mary (Wetter) Hauenstein, was born at Tegerfeldon Curton Aargon, Switzerland, December 1, 1847 and departed this life at Iowa Falls, Iowa, on February 28, 1928 at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 28 days.

She migrated to America in March 1871, arriving at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, from where she came to the Noble community.

On August 17, 1871 she was united in marriage to Andrew Hauenstein. To this union three children were born, one dying in infancy, and John Hauenstein and Mrs. Mary Stiles, surviving her. Soon after marriage they located on a farm about 3 miles east of Noble where they lived for a number of years. Then they moved to a farm about 3 miles west of Crawfordsville where they lived for some thirty years. From there mr. and Mrs. Hauenstein moved to Noble where they resided the remaining seventeen years of their life's pilgrimage. Mr. Hauenstien preceded her in death n the spring of 1924.

Caroline Hauenstein.

Caroline Hauenstein, youngest daughter of John and Mary (Wetter) Hauenstein, was born at Tegerfeldon Curton Aargon, Switzerland, December 1, 1847 and departed this life at Iowa Falls, Iowa, on February 28, 1928 at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 28 days.

She migrated to America in March 1871, arriving at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, from where she came to the Noble community.
