John Kauffman, 83, of Hopedale, Ill. died Aug. 8, 1982 at Hopedale medical Complex after a month-long illness. Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at the Hopedale Mennonite Church with Aden Yoder officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was born Aug. 23, 1898 at Minier, a son of Christian and Barbara Nafziger Kauffmann. He married Alma Litwiller on Dec. 29, 1920 near Delavan. She survives.
