● Christine Mae McKowen, 80, of Goessel, died Feb. 27 at Newton Medical Center. Funeral services are being held March 2 at Goessel Mennonite Church, with Darrell Ediger officiating. A native of Saline County, she was retired superintendent of Nurses Memorial Hospital, Topeka. Surviving are her husband, Floyd T.; three sisters, Bertha Bloomberg and Della Johnson, both of Lindsborg, and Gertrude Olson of Newton.
