He had lived most of his life in the Sedgwick-Newton area. He was married in 1928 to Edna Harms, who survives along with two daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Marvin) Unruh of North Newton and Mildred (Mrs. Don) Franz of Wichita; and four grandchildren.
