&#9679; Emil Klassen, retired farmer and resident of the Schowalter Villa in Hesston, died Mar. 7 at the age of 77. Funeral services were held Mar. 10 at the Hesston Mennonite Church with Kenneth Peterson and James Hershberger officiating. He was a member of the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church of Goessel. He was married in 1956 to the former Mildred Swartzendruber and they lived on a farm near Moundridge until moving to Hesston in 1973. She survives along with a sister, Agnes (Mrs. Albert) Budde of rural Newton.
