Edna (Mrs. Eldon) Zook died suddenly the evening of Nov. 1. She had gone through much in the past few months with eye surgery and heart bypass surgery. She was seemingly on the road to recovery. Funeral services were held Nov. 5. Funeral services for Eldon Zook's sister, Ruby Padgett of Colorado Springs, Colo., were held Nov. 3, but he did not attend. With Edna's passing, I have lost a dear friend, as we had known each other for many years.
The Zooks also helped at our City Acres mission outreach here for some years. Gene and Elaine Padget — she is the Zooks' second daughter — had to attend funeral services for his mother on Nov. 3 and hurry here for Mrs. Zook's funeral. God gives strength for each day's tasks.
