Aged Hutterite Leader Dies in North Dakota
Fordville, N.D. — Joseph Maendel recognized as one of the more progressive leaders of the Hutterites, died at Forest River colony at Fordville Oct. 9. a large crowd of persons from the U.S. and Canada was present at his funeral.
Maendel, born at Rosedale, S.D. and well-known in the Freeman area, recognized all Christians as “brethren.”
