&#9679; Mrs. Evelyn Zielke, 88, died Oct. 22 at the Bethel Home for the Aged in Newton.  Services were held Oct. 25 at the First Mennonite Church with Albert Epp in charge.  She was born Evelyn Wiebe in South Russia and came to the U.S. in 1892.  She was married in 1907 to Peter B. Zielke and they farmed at Coy, Okla. until moving to Newton in 1918.  He died in 1971.  She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Waldo) Friesen of Newton, Elnora (Mrs. Charles) Buczeskie of Sylmar, Calif. and Evelyn (Mrs. John) McGinnis of Mercer Island, Wash.; six sons, Arnold, Irvin and Donald of Newton, Walter of Fontana, Calif., Loren of Burnsville, Minn. and Leroy of Larned; a sister, Mrs. Adolph Harms of Newton; a brother, John P. Wiebe of Newton; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Wiebe Zielke, daughter ot John G. and Eveline Wiebe, was born Nov 16, 1889 in Steinfeld, South Russia. She died at the Bethel Home for the Aged, Newton, Kan., on Oct. 22, 1978 at the age of 88.
 
She came to America with her parents in 1892, and they lived near Goessel and Lehigh, Kan. until 1895, when they moved to Newton. She attended McKinley School and the First Mennonite Church.
 
In 1903 the family moved to Coy, Okla. She was baptized there in 1906 by H. R. Voth and became a member of the Bethany Mennonite Church. She married Peter B. Zielke in 1907.
 
They farmed at Coy until 1918 when they moved to Newton and became members of the First Mennonite Church. They had 10 children, of whom one died in infancy.
 
As a mother in the home she was an example of loving service and devotion for each member of her family. She and her husband had the privilege of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in 1967. She cared for him devotedly during his long illness until his death in 1971. She enjoyed reading and especially liked poetry. She enjoyed the Women's Mission Society and her Sunday school class as long as she was able to attend.
