9-Year-Old Amish Boy Drowns in Farm Pond
Goshen, Ind. --- Funeral services were held at the Lewis Hochstetler home near Shipshewana on March 15 for Dennis Ray Lambright, nine-year-old boy who was a victim of drowning two days earlier. The boy, son of Menno V. and Ann Lambright of Route 2, Shipshewana, his brother Norman, age 7, and seven-year-old Eugene Yoder were playing at a farm pond on the John Yoder property when Dennis fell through a crust of snow into the pond.
Shipshewana firemen were called and recovered the body about 30 minutes after the drowning.
