BERNARD HENRY BALZAR
Bernard Henry Balzer of Herbert, Sask. passed away on October 2B, 19BO. He was born to Henry and Elizabeth Balzer on January B, 190B in Terek, southern Russia. Five years later the family immigrated to Canada, settling at Langham, Sask. on August 13, 1913. In 1932 he began teaching at River Dell, Sask. where he met and married Hilda Groening on September 16, 1934. He taught in various schools in the Herbert and Swift Current districts, and then in Hodgeville for 13 years. He retired in June 1972 and the couple moved to Herbert a year later .
