MARTHA WIEBE
Martha Wiebe died peacefully Nov. 6. She was born May 3, 1912 in Borden, Sask. to Henry and Margaret Penner. At 17, she was baptized on the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ. Martha loved music and sang in a trio with her two older sisters. In 1934, she married Peter J. Wiebe. They moved to Rabbit Lake, Sask . to homestead and subsequently to Main Centre, Rush Lake, and Glenbush. ln 1974, they retired to Swift Current, joining the Bridgeway Community Church. They enjoyed gardening, daily walks, and listening to Christian TV and radio broadcasts. After Peter died in 1990, Martha moved to Saskatoon. She was a loving mother who spent as much time reading her Bible as her failing eyesight allowed. Predeceased by Peter; son Leonard; 5 siblings; she is mourned by sons Phil (Doris), Jake (Sharlene), Ben (Linda); daughter-in-law Faith; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The memorial service was at West Portal Church, Saskatoon.
