Hirschler, retired farmer of Hanston, died April 10 at the Halstead Hospital at the age of 82.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Garden Mennonite Church near Hesston with Rev. Leonard Harder, the pastor, and Rev. Garman Wedel of the Hanston Mennonite Church officiating.  Mr. Hirschler leaves his widow, the former Katie Voran; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma A. Percoco of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Ed of Hanston and John of Moundridge; and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Voth of Wichita, Mrs. Marie Dester and Mrs. Clara Brubacher, both of Newton.

Menno J. Hirschler was born to Christian and Elizabeth (Ewy) Hirschler at Moundridge, Kan. on Nov. 22, 1892 and died at the Halstead Hospital on April 10, 1975 after a long illness.
In March 1895 the family moved to Perry, Okla. where Menno grew to young manhood.  He attended the district school at Perry.  Here he also was baptized by his father, Rev. C. E. Hirschler, and was received as a member of the Mennonite church.  He remained a member of the Perry church until September 1915 when the family moved to Hanston, Kan.  He then transferred his membership to the Hanston Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member at the time of death.
On Aug. 18, 1934 he married Lydia Ann Miller of Hanston.  She died in December 1943.  One daughter, Thelma Ann, was born to them.  On Aug. 17, 1947 he married Katie Voran of Moundridge, Kan.
Menno was a farmer and was skilled in many crafts.  In his retired years he loved to work in his shop, refinishing old furniture and making toys and articles of wood.
Menno is survived by his wife; one daughter, Thelma Ann, and husband Richard A. Percoco of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. H. R. Voth of Wichita, Mrs. J. C. Dester and Mrs. A. J. Brubacher, both of Newton, Kan.; and two brothers, Ed of Hanston and John of Moundridge.
Funeral services were conducted on April 12 in the Garden Mennonite  Church near Moundridge by Rev. Leonard Harder and Rev. G. G. Wedel.  Interment was at the First Mennonite Cemetery, Moundridge.
