Katherine Martens-Harder died Aug. 10. She was born July 19, 1910 to Johann and Katharine Goerzen in Blumenort, Ukraine. She married Jake Warkentin Oct. 18, 1930. They fled to Germany. Jake was killed in the war. She married Abram Martens. In 1948 they immigrated to Coaldale, Alta. In 1986 Abram died. In the 1990s she moved to Sunny South Villa, Coaldale. She married Jake Harder. He died a year later. Her faith in the Lord, her optimistic nature and hard work ethic sustained her throughout her life.
