• Fred Rutschman, 84, a resident of Wheatland Homes at North Newton, died Tuesday at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after a brief illness. A native of the Elbing community, he had lived int he Newton area since 1944. At the time of his death he was employed at the Ramada Inn and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Faith Mennonite Church, with Rev. Leonard Wiebe in charge. Survivors include two sons, James of Newton and Willard of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Dave H. and Harry, both of Newton; and three sisters, Mrs. Della Roth of Benton, Mrs. Minnie Roth of Whitewater, and Mrs. Elma Schrag of Pretty Prairie.

• Last week's report of the death of Fred A. Rutschman failed to list his widow, Minnie, among the survivors. She is a guest at the Bethesda Home in Goessel. The former Minnie Ewy, she married Mr. Rutschman at Moundridge in 1917. He was born at Ransom, Kan. and grew up in the Elbing community.
