Mrs. Susan Marie Froese, daughter of Jacob P. and Katherine Houck Janzen, was born at Inman, Kan. on March 24, 1884 and died at Weatherford, Okla. on May 9, 1974 at the age of 90. | |||
Mrs. Froese grew to womanhood in the McPherson County, Kansas area and was baptized into the church at an early age. The family later moved to beaver county, Oklahoma. | |||
She was married to Henry K. Froese at Inman, Kan. on March 5, 1905. They moved to the Hydro area in 1909, settling on a farm southeast of Hydro and north of the Crown Mound. They joined Bethel Mennonite Church in 1909. They retired to Hydro in 1945, where Mr. Froese preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1954. When the Hydro Manor Nursing Home was opened on June 17, 1968, Mrs. Froese had her room picked out and moved into the Manor on that day. | |||
She was preceded in death by one son, Carl, on April 9, 1969. | |||
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Esther Fadenrecht of Cordell, Okla., Mrs. Lydia Berry of Davis, Calif., and Mrs. Clara Bishop of Bethany, Okla.; one son, Irvin G. Froese of Redding, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Janzen of Dallas, Ore. and Ben Janzen of Hutchinson, Kan. | |||
Mrs. Froese was a beautiful Christian person and will be missed by all of us. — The Family. | |||

MRS. SUSAN MARIE FROESE
Mrs. Susan Marie Froese, daughter of Jacob P. and Katherine Houck Janzen, was born at Inman, Kan. on March 24, 1884 and died at Weatherford, Okla. on May 9, 1974 at the age of 90.
