Alvin B. Springer, son of Val and Katie (Litwiller) Springer, was born at Hopedale, Ill. on Feb. 16, 1894; died at Hopedale Medical Complex on Feb. 19, 1974, aged 80 years. | |||
On Jan. 11, 1916, he was married to Emma Kauffman, who survives. Also surviving are seven sons, Paul, Marvin, Carroll, Mahlon, Orval, Elmo, and Dick; three daughters, Verna, Mrs. Orval Shoemaker, Ethel, Mrs. Chester Sommer, and Kathryn, Mrs. Glenn, Burmeister; 32 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Aaron, Menno and Homer; and two sisters, Clara, Mrs. Roy Unsicker, and Ruth, Mrs. Harold Zehr. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two sisters. | |||
He was a member of Hopedale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Feb. 22, in charge of Lee J. Miller; interment in Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery. | |||

ALVIN B. SPRINGER
Alvin B. Springer, son of Val and Katie (Litwiller) Springer, was born at Hopedale, Ill. on Feb. 16, 1894; died at Hopedale Medical Complex on Feb. 19, 1974, aged 80 years.
