KATIE DRIEDGER

Katie Driedger died May 11. She was born Aug. 27, 1923 near Slavgorod, Siberia to Abram and Mary Driediger. The family immigrated through Germany to Canada in 1930, settling in Brookdale, Man. Katie accepted Christ into her life at an early age, considering it her most important decision. She married John Driedger June 19, 1948. They farmed and helped in Justice (Man.) MB Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in groups, volunteered at the MCC Thrift Store and cooked at Gospel Light Bible Camp. They retired to Brandon in 1985, joining Richmond Park MB Church. She enjoyed spending family times at Clear Lake and on holidays and birthdays. Gardening, quilting, reading, cross-stitching, baking, visiting with friends and volunteering were delights. Predeceased by John, 3 siblings, she is mourned by daughters Marion of Brandon, Ruth Froese of Yorkton, Sask. and Joyce of Springstein, Man.; sons Len of Russell, Man. and Fred of Brandon; 13 grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister. The funeral was May 16 in Richmond Park MB Church with Dave Ens ministering.
