Neta Funk, 96, of Goessel, died March 31 at Bethesda Home. She was a homemaker and former cook at Bethel College. Services were held April 3 at Goessel Mennonite Church with Allen Lind officiating. Burial was in Goessel Cemetery. Survivors include a stepson, Roy Funk of Hillsboro; three step-daughters, Hilda Knak and Lucilla Funk, both of Hillsboro, and Lenora Gehring of Moundridge; a brother, Herman F. Schmidt of Hesston; a sister, Elizabeth Goertz of Goessel; 15 step-grandchildren and 30 step-great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Henry Schmidt, died in 1963. Her second husband, Paul, died in 1973. | |||
