• Mrs. Marie F. Funk, who lived in the Hillsboro community throughout her 92 years, died Jan. 22 at Salem Hospital there. She was born at Hillsboro Nov. 10, 1881. In 1923 she married Frank N. Funk, who had three children by an earlier marriage, his first wife having died in 1920. Mr. Funk died in 1955. Surviving are the three children, Mrs. Herman Nickel of Hillsboro, Rev. Arnold E. Funk of North Newton, and Herbert of rural Marion, 11 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Trinity Mennonite Church, with Rev. Eric Sawatzky in charge. | |||
