• Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Greensburg on Dec. 27 for Louis E. Schmidt, 80, a retired farmer and stockman and resident of the Greensburg community since 1910. He was a member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church, and Rev. D. A. Raber, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Schmidt married Lodie Wadel at Greensburg in 1941 [''sic'' 1914], and she survives. Virgil Schmidt and Mrs. Lena Good, both of Hesston, are among 11 surviving children.
