Goshen, Ind. — An accident on a county road near Middlebury Friday, Oct. 20, claimed the life of Elmer LaVerne Troyer, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J. Troyer , and seriously injured Sonja Kauffman, 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kauffman. | |||
The boy was riding a mini-bike with Sonja as his passenger when it collided head-on with a van truck just after the van topped a hill. Sonja suffered possible internal injuries and a fractured leg. | |||
Funeral services for the Troyer youth were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, with Rev. Vernon Bontreger in charge. | |||

Indiana Boy, 13, Killed When Mini-Bike And Van Truck Collide
Goshen, Ind. — An accident on a county road near Middlebury Friday, Oct. 20, claimed the life of Elmer LaVerne Troyer, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J. Troyer , and seriously injured Sonja Kauffman, 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kauffman.
