Ulysses, Kan. &#8212; Funeral services were to be held at Phillips Mortuary here Aug. 2 for Eilene [''sic'' Eileen] Koehn, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Koehn who drowned Sunday while swimming at Two Butte [''sic'' Two Buttes] Colo.
 
The tragedy occurred while Eilene [''sic'' Eileen] was swimming in Two Butte River [''sic'' Two Butte Creek]  with her brothers Leslie and Stanley and a companion, Charles Parker, all of Ulysses.  Parker failed in an attempt to rescue her, and the body was recovered by county authorities.
 
Surviving in addition to the parents and brothers are another brother, Sheldon, at home; and grandparents, Mrs. Linda Jantz of Winton, Calif. and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Koehn, Ulysses.

17-Year-Old Kansas Girl Drowns in Colorado River

Ulysses, Kan. — Funeral services were to be held at Phillips Mortuary here Aug. 2 for Eilene [sic Eileen] Koehn, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Koehn who drowned Sunday while swimming at Two Butte [sic Two Buttes] Colo.

The tragedy occurred while Eilene [sic Eileen] was swimming in Two Butte River [sic Two Butte Creek] with her brothers Leslie and Stanley and a companion, Charles Parker, all of Ulysses. Parker failed in an attempt to rescue her, and the body was recovered by county authorities.
