Surviving in the immediate family are his widow, the former Mabel Deschner of Newton; a son, Robert, of Galesburg, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Elaine Schmidt of Greeley, Colo., Mrs. Mariellen Griffith of Indianapolis, Miss Maribeth of Denver, and Mrs. Joyce Thiessen of College Park, Md.; and six grandchildren. | |||
Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at the Buhler Grade School, with Dr. D. C. Wedel and Rev. Nick Rempel officiating. | |||

Death Claims Retired Educator of Buhler
Buhler, Kan. — Pete Shellenberger, 66, retired principal of the Buhler Grade School and a resident here for 39 years, died June 10 at his home after a brief illness.
Mr. Schellenberger [sic Shellenberger] held a master's degree from Wichita State University, and was named Kansas Master Teacher in 1957.
