Sam Eitzen, 77, of Longmont, Colo., died Feb. 22 in Hawaii, while vacationing.
Mr. Eitzen was born in the Ebenfeld community south of Hillsboro, Kan. on Aug 24, 1894, the son of Abraham A. and Anna Wall Classen Eitzen.
He moved to western Kansas in 1929 and from there to Longmont in 1946 where he established a business.
Survivors include his widow, the former Helen Kablanow; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Potter of Longmont; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers, Dr. A. C. and John, both of Hillsboro; Pete of Dallas, Tex., Ezra and Dan of Albuquerque, N.M., and Dr. Oliver of Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Feb. 25 in the First Methodist Church at Longmont.
