Founder of Fruit Farms Dies at 89

Leola, Pa. — Funeral services were held recently at the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church for A. L. Kauffman of Bird-In-Hand, founder of the A. L. Kauffman and Sons Fruit Farms. He died at an Ephrata rest home at the age of 89.

Survivors include five children, 31 grandchildren, and 47 great-grandchildren.
