ARTHUR (ART) KENNETH SCHROEDER
Arthur Kenneth Schroeder died Mar. 5. He was born Apr. 23, 1928 in Main Centre, Sask. to John S. and Martha Schroeder. He graduated from Briercrest Bible Institute. He married Verna Sawatzky July 8, 1950. He was baptized and joined Vancouver MB Church November 1950. They lived in Richmond, B.C. and attended Fraserview MB Church, then a community church in Victoria. He worked for W.H. Malkin Co. He occasionally preached and was part of the Gideons. In 1967 they moved back to Richmond. He became a real estate agent. He attended a Baptist church, where he led singing, taught Sunday school, served as deacon and was involved in adult social programs. Verna died in August 1984. He moved to White Rock, B.C and married Sandra Featherstone Aug. 1, 1997. They attended Cariboo Hill Salvation Army Temple. Predeceased by Verna, 1 brother, 1 sister, 4 infant sons, he is mourned by Sandra; 7 children; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters. The funeral was in Cariboo Salvation Army Temple.
