ANNIE PENNER
Annie Penner died Feb. 4. She was born Sept. 1, 1915 in Main Centre, Sask. to Johann and Justina Siemens. They moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1939. She attended Elim Bible School. She married Frank Sawatsky in 1946. They attended Arnold (B.C) MB Church. He died in a car accident in 1952. She married Corny Penner. He died in 1962. She sold the farm and moved to Abbotford, where she worked as a homemaker and as a cook at Columbia Bible College. She demonstrated love for her family and was dedicated to good deeds. She had a zest for living, was generous to and concerned for others. She doted on her grandchildren, painted, practiced reflexology and volunteered at MCC. She made more than 1000 blankets for MCC. Predeceased by Frank and Corny, she is mourned by sons Len, Les and Frank; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; stepchildren Lilly Bowering, Margaret Barron and Martha Bergen; 5 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.
