GERTRUDE WOELK

Gertrude Woelk died July 27. She was born to Fredrick and Helen Mielke Apr.3, 1912 in South Russia. She was baptized in 1930 in Beechy (Sask.) Mennonite Church. She married David Woelk Oct. 13, 1930. They farmed. She worked hard. She taught Sunday school, and was active in the Ladies Group and Hospital Auxiliary. They moved to Saskatoon in 1975. David died in 1984. She kept busy reading, and doing handwork and puzzles. She enjoyed Bible studies and other activities. Predeceased by David, son Harry, 1 sister, she leaves daughters Helen Aiken, Gertrude Sholter; son David; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
