•  John C. Goering, 88, who farmed southwest of Moundridge for many years, died Sept. 19 at McPherson County Hospital.  The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eden Mennonite Church west of Moundridge.  Mr. Goering was preceded in death by his wife, the former Adina Wedel.  Surviving are sons Phil J., John W. and Martin H., all of McPherson; Edwin J. of Pretty Prairie, Benj. J. of Moundridge and Arthur J. of Newton; four daughters, Mrs. J. D. Kaufman and Mrs. Carl Stucky of McPherson, Mrs. John Cullar of North Lima, Ohio, and Mrs. Harold W. Schrag of Moundridge; 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
