• Mrs. Katharina Harder, 94, died Monday morning at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. Mrs. Harder, the former Katharina Reimer, was born in South Russia and came to this country with her parents in 1876. The family settled near Hillsboro. Her first marriage was to Henry Schmidt, who died in 1941. In 1950 she married Cornelius Peters; he died in 1951. Her marriage to Jacob J. Harder took place in 1952, and he died at Goessel in 1964. Surviving are sons Alvin and Abe Schmidt of Newton, Reuben Schmidt of Moundridge, and Ted Schmidt of Walton; one daughter, Mrs. B. R. Smith of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church.
