Noted Entertainer Dies in Ontario
Rosthern, Sask. — Word was received here recently of the death of Herman (Herb) Pauls of Hamner, Ontario, a vocalist and guitarist who became widely known as a radio and TV performer in Canada.
A native of Russia, he migrated to Germany in 1918 and came to Laird, Sask. in 1924. He embarked on a career in the field of western music, performing over a Saskatoon station and later over CBC in Winnipeg. More recently he had been active in TV and radio at Sudbury, Ont.
