Poultry Farmer Dies at 41
Harrisonburg. Va. — Funeral services for Franklin S. Showalter, 41, well-known poultry farmer of rural Harrisonburg, were held April 24 at the Weavers Mennonite Church here.
Mr. Showalter died April 22 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for five weeks. Death was due to a heart attack.
He leaves his father, A. C Showalter, and one brother, Harry of rural Dayton.

J. Paul Martin, 74, who had been ill for a year, died unexpectedly May 14 shortly after being admitted to the local hospital. He was the son of the late J. Snively and Nancy Showalter Martin and was married to Anna McDorman. A daughter Mary and three sons, John P., J. E. and Daniel, survive.
Miss Fannie Heatwole, 87, lifelong resident of Dayton and daughter of the late Emanuel and Fannie Heatwole, died at her home May 11 after a short illness. She was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church, where funeral and burial services were held.
Samuel Blosser and wife Fannie died about two weeks apart at their home in Crimora. Mr. Blosser was formerly of Dayton and a member of the Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Memorial services and burial were held at the Hildebrand Church at Waynesboro.
Frank Showalter, 42, son of Art Showalter and the late Pearl Heatwole Showalter, died unexpectedly at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted for treatment after suffering a severe heart attack about six weeks earlier. His father and one brother Harry, survive. Funeral services and burial were held at Weavers Church and cemetery.
