•  Allen Eugene Quiring, 42, died June 7 at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital.  He was an accountant for American Oil in Kansas City until becoming ill in February 1968.  Funeral services were held June 11 at the Petersen Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Epp officiating.  Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Quiring of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. G. Kenneth Epp of Parsons and Norma Lou Quiring of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Howard of Florence, Ala. and Ray of Fresno, Calif.
