couver; sons Helmut of Abbotsford, John of
 
Ottawa and Carl of Langley, B.C.; 22 grand-
 
children; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother
 
and 1 sister. The funeral was Dec. 23 at Bak-
 
erview MB Church, with Henry Thiessen

Abraham Pe ter Warkentin pas se d away Nov. 24. He was born Nov. 4, 1910 to Peter and Judith Wark entin in Osl e r, Sask. They bought a fa rm in Silb erfeld, Sask. in 19 1 1. He ac - cepted Je sus at 19. He was bapt ized Aug. 24, 19 30 and join ed Waldheim MB Church. In 1939 he moved to La Glace, Alta . He married Gertrude Si ebert July 17, 1941. They farmed near La Glace. In 1945, with Gertrude's par- ents, they moved to B.C. 's Fraser Valley, buy- ing 4 acr es in Greendale. They lost their be- longings in the 1948 flood, but he found courage in the song "Turn your eyes upon Je- sus" left on the floor of the house. In 1949 they moved to a dairy farm, eventually buy- ing it. They were members of Greendale MB Chu rch; he served on the balloting commit- tee, was assistant treasurer and was church janitor for seve ral years. In 19 73 they sold the farm.
