Aged Amish Bishop Dies at Haven

Haven, Kan. — Leander S. Keim, believed to be the oldest Amish bishop in the United States in length of service, died at his home near here on Feb. 11 at the age of 91.

A native of Middlebury, ind. where he was born July 19, 1877, he had been a resident here since 1887. in 1897 he married Mattie Nisley, and they observed their 71st wedding anniversary on Dec. 23 of last year.

The funeral was conducted Friday afternoon at the Keim home.
